The Canadian Association for Play Therapy is offering a 3-day Certificate in Edmonton, Alberta!
Treating Anxiety Using Play Therapy:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 27-29, 2019
Instructor: Irena Razanas MSW, RSW, CPT-S, RPT-S
Stress and anxiety are normal reactions to new situations, but some people have more intense experiences of these emotions. They can last longer, be disproportionate to the circumstances and can have a significant impact on day-to-day life. Today we have more clients who present with issues related to anxiety than ever before. Do we blame family breakdown, violence in society and the media, or our fast paced, connected world?
It is important for those who are involved with caring for young people to be able to recognize and make sense of their difficulties to respond in a way that is helpful.
If you missed this in Regina in April, you can take it in Edmonton.
Here are some comments from those that attended in Regina about what was most useful:
"Lots of useful information to implement with clients!"
"I learned how to use Play Therapy to target Anxiety"
"Hands-on applications such as Sandtray"
"This course has been well planned and prepared for positive learning"
"Variety of strategies presented for both releasing and calming"
"Having the handouts prior to the course start".
If any of these resonate with you, may you should check out the learning objectives.
