Edmonton, Alberta

The Edmonton Operational Stress Injury (OSI) Clinic is part of a national network of clinics providing specialized outpatient services to Veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, and members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), as well as their families. Offering a wide range of clinical assessment and treatment services, our team of mental health professionals works together to provide care that is tailored to the needs of each client. Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team at the OSI Clinic, the Psychologist I is primarily responsible for providing direct clinical services to individuals, couples, and families with complex mental health and/or concurrent disorders as well as psychosocial needs. The Psychologist I works collaboratively with other organizations including Veterans Affairs Canada, the Department of National Defense, and the RCMP. The Psychologist I, in collaboration with the Manager and clinical leads within the OSIC, ensures that clinical services are delivered safely, are of high quality, and are aligned and compliant with the national Guidelines for Operational Stress Injury Clinics and AHS policy and procedures. Services are provided using an interdisciplinary model of care, and adhere to the Addiction & Mental Health Principles of Care for clients, families, and community partners. Positive client outcomes will be achieved through collaborative treatment planning, evidence informed treatment options, interdisciplinary consultation, clinical outcome evaluation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
